About this blog

Hey guys, my name is Thomas and I’m the founder of Ecodesign Karteko. It’s my personal blog but I make it appear like a website that aims to be one of the best resources on everything that is related to solar power, solar energy systems and solar panel installations and replacements.

I’m not sure what makes me love solar energy so much, probably it has something to do with the fact that me and my wife decided to install 24 solar panels on our house roof six years ago. First, we weren’t really sure whether it’s worth the huge investment of more than USD 20,000, before it turned out that it produces so much energy to not only support our supply at home, but also plenty of energy to sell on the market and according to my latest calculation, the initial investment will break even in five years. That means it just takes eleven years in total and that’s five years less than the American average of 16 years!

I’m so surprised and proud of the huge pay-offs of our solar energy system that I recommend it to all my friends here in Los Angeles and also decided to start a blog – Ecodesign Karteko. Yes, that’s quite a weird name for a blog on solar energy and I think it might be worth to write a separate post on how I came up with this name.

For now, let me just give you a big thank you again for dropping by my site and I’m more than happy to get in touch with anyone who is as enthusiastic as me about solar energy – so don’t hesitate to write me an email.

All the best,
Thomas
